Swine fever alert for Guatemala

The swine flu outbreak is serious and unpredictable, according to World Health Organization, WHO, that is why the authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, MAGFOR, announced that Nicaraguan border there is a health alert, because it has detected swine fever in Guatemala. “We have declared a health alert and we have restricted the entry of pork from countries where we exist or outbreaks of the plague,” stressed the head of the entity, Ariel Bucardo. Before Nicaragua, El Salvador and Honduras had already closed their borders temporarily for the same reason. Read Article
