Suspicious Venezuelan plane grounded in the Canary Islands

Officials stopped a plane in Gran Canaria that had travelled from Venezuela to the Canary Islands after Interpol alerted the aircraft might have been carrying drugs. The private jet was believed to have been transporting drugs disguised as humanitarian aid, according to El Nacional. Three people had been travelling in the plane. Dozens of packages bearing a humanitarian organization’s symbol were on board the aircraft.
