Supermarket sales increase in Argentina

A report released by the National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) shows that supermarket sales in Argentina were 14.9% higher in June 2011 than last year, and increased a total of 26.5% in the first six months of the year, totaling about 6.5 million pesos, according to These changes, however, do not seem that significant when the 9.1% inflation rate is taken into account.
