Suicide, third largest cause of death in Mexico for youths between 15-24

Since the 1980s, suicide has become the third leading cause of death among youth aged 15 to 24 years . Exceeded only by accidents, assaults, in the case of men-and tumor diseases -in the case of women. Since this type of death is a taboo in our culture, the official information we have about it is vague. In many cases, the relatives of the victims prefer to report cause of death as an accident rather than “smear the name” with a suicide. Read Article
