Standard Bank of Argentina sold to Chinese

The sale of the subsidiary of Standard Bank Argentina became official yesterday after a meeting between President Cristina Kirchner with the head of the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA), Mercedes Marco del Pont, and representatives of the group of Chinese investors. The acquisition was carried forward by Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and was conducted last August by a total of $ 700 million, but remained to the approval of the monetary authority.
