Apparently the non-named person whose picture is below has been attempting to scam willing individuals into giving her money over the last few years throughout Ecuador. Her basic story is that she has no funds and needs to get to Peru in order to get a new passport so she can return to South Africa.

An expat from the U.S. recently sited her and had contact with her in Cuenca Ecuador and stated the following on a social media group: My husband and I were at Mal Del Rio yesterday when a woman approached us needing help. I recognized her right away as the same woman that had approached me a couple of years ago in Quito. She claims to be from South Africa and has lost her passport. Beware she is about 5 ft. 5 in. an looks to weigh around 140 to 150 lbs. highlighted hair and nice tan. She comes up really fast and appears to be frantic and desperate. She can have a bit of a temper when recognized and start yelling and calling names. Just walk away, far far away.
