Reduction in Violence Chihuahua Mexico: increase in numbers of paisanos return for vacations

The reduction in levels of violence in Chihuahua led to new account “countrymen” to enter the country from Ciudad Juarez and many more chose to stay in the state, said Demetrio Sotomayor, director of tourism north. In just half a year, figures from the state income doubled relative to 2011. The official said that “in four years this is the first time that there is an increase in the number of countrymen who enter the country through this border.” Statistics show that in 2011 the number of people crossed Juarez was 7 000 568, while last week the number reached 8 000 680.
