Raw sewage flowing from Mexico into Nogales Arizona

A construction project and recent monsoon rains have caused significant raw sewage problems in Nogales, Sonora that are affecting Nogales, Ariz., downhill.

On Thursday, Bonnie Rae Greenwald, chief sanitarian for Santa Cruz County warned that parents who live in the Tricky Wash, Escalada Drive and Hudgins Street areas to keep their children and pets away from effluent streaming across the border from the Buenos Aires neighborhood, where pipes have become clogged with sand and silt from runoffs caused by recent rains.
