Quito’s Airport begins plans for phase II of expansion project

bnamericas.com reported that Ecuador’s Quito airport concessionaire Quiport has started drawing up plans for the US$16.5mn phase II of the Quito airport expansion project. The second phase will see the expansion of the passenger terminal to 5,260m2 and will include two new jet bridges. The estimated budget for this portion of the expansion works is US$15mn, according to a report from Quiport. In addition, works will include lights on the center of the runway to aid pilots in low visibility conditions. This portion has a referential budget of US$1.5mn. Read Article
