Quito Ecuador: State of Emergency with continuing fires

In less than a week there were 63 new forest fires of 2054 that have occurred since June 1 in Quito, which led yesterday to city authorities to declare a state of emergency in the city operating. Yesterday, noon, the fire occurred in the Bosque Protector La Mena 2, in the south of Quito. Firefighters fought from 11:30 to halt the loss of which was allied to wind and dry grass, due to the low humidity of only 33% that recorded this summer. Just at 16:00 could control fire.
