Puno, Peru: Unions Threaten to Radicalize Protests

According to ElComercio.pe unions in Puno today, are threatening to radicalize protests if the arrest warrant against Walter Aduviri is not thrown out. The Aymara leader has spent more than 24 hours inside the Panamericana Television station to avoid being captured. Judge Maria Morales signed a warrant for his arrest on the crime against public tranquility. Canal N says that most surrounding provinces are not going to add people to the anti-mining protests in Puno. Yesterday, a peaceful demonstration in the department’s capital was held.
