Playa Del Carmen Mexico: French tourist beaten, robbed by taxi driver

Fulano.infor reported PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Quintana Roo – A foreigner was brutally beaten by a taxi driver early Tuesday morning on colonia Colosio, and then had his belongings stolen. Sebastien “N,” originally from France, had bruises and fractures which required emergency operations. The visitor said he was on vacation in this tourist destination when he decided to go out for entertainment, but in order to return to where he was staying, he caught a taxi on avenida Decima at 12 Norte, in colonia Centro, at 3AM. Upon arriving at calle 66 and Quinta Avenida, the taxi driver started to beat him, leaving him semi unconscious, and the stole his belongings.
