Piedras Negras Mexico: Explosion kills one, injures five at tax inspecition facility on border with U.S.

elnuevoherald.com reported a worker of the border Customs Office of the Mexican city of Piedras Negras, with United States, died and five others were injured by an explosion in the building of tax inspection, reported authorities Sunday while the causes of the incident are investigated. “My condolences to the family of our colleague at the office of Piedras Negras Ana Griselda Vázquez, who died in the unfortunate explosion,” said the Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto, on his Twitter account. The director of Civil protection in that municipality of Coahuila (North), Alberto de la Rosa Vizcaíno, told AFP that the explosion occurred this morning on the floor of the customs building, where the bedrooms are located. The causes of the accident are still unknown, but some local media point to that it was a gas leak. Read Article
