Peru: Woman enters hospital for kidney stones, leaves without hands and feet

BOTCHED TREATMENT CAUSES INFECTION LEADING TO AMPUTATION
EXTRA.EC/AFP REPORTED Peru investigates the case of a woman who came to a state hospital for treatment of kidney stones and was discharged with hands and feet amputees due to an infection in the extremities alleged medical malpractice.

Shirley Melendez, 25, denounced doctors Guillermo Almenara ESSALUD (social security) so it happened, after suffering a generalized infection state hospital. His case was revealed by the Sunday TV program “Cuarto Poder” and has moved to citizenship, even motivating speech, President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. Read Article
