Peru: Protesters block highway to Doe Run mining complex

Residents and workers in the mining company Doe Run blocked several stretches of the Central Highway to begin an indefinite strike that began today from 00:00 hours demanding the resumption of operation at the La Oroya metallurgical complex. As indicated by RPP News, protesters suspended in whole traffic through this area and twelve other places putting large stones, wood and tires on the road. Read Article
