Peru: infertility cases increase

larepublica.pe reported that in Peru, the problem of infertility is becoming increasingly more troubling: two of every ten couples would be felt from this disease.

According to Dr. Julio Diaz Pinillos, specialist in infertility of birth – Lima-human reproduction centre, about 20% of people are affected by infertility problems. “We speak of that two of every ten couples suffer from a problem in its reproductive apparatus, generating a stigma in society by failing to be parents,” says Diaz.

‘Conceiving problems are known as sterility. They are referred to the inability of a couple to get pregnant after trying for a while without using contraception. This concept should be interpreted dynamically, as maternal age is a very important prognostic factor”, he adds. Read Article
