Pernambuco, Brazil: Owner of Travel Agency Detained for Trafficking Women to Europe

On July 25, 2013 Globo reported that the Federal Police arrested the owner of a travel agency, Claudette Birth Banner in Olinda, Pernambuco, for human trafficking. According to police, the woman was sexually exploiting women with low education and no experience in tourism, to Europe, where they were harassed and forced into the prostitution sector.
