Paraná, Brazil: Police Operation Arrests 24 Suspects for Drug Trafficking

On May 23, 2013, Globo reported that a Civil Police operation in Toledo, Brazil, arrested 24 people for involvement in drug trafficking. Chief delegate Antonio Donizete Botelho, stated that investigations revealed that several individuals had a connection of buying marijuana and cocaine from Paraguay to sell in the region and in other cities in Paraná. The police confiscated R$11,700 in cash, four motorcycles, a precision scale, 50 mobile phone headsets, as well as drugs. 29 suspects have been arrested since the investigation began in January.
