Paraguay: Youth reject call to military service

A long line of young Paraguayans dawned today at an office of the Ministry of Defense, in this capital, to express their opposition to a possible call to military service. Attendance at what is called Conscientious Objection address is part of a massive response from last week unleashed across the country to a military order, under which civilian agencies of the State should require low military service to their workers. It was in fact a determination of the Directorate of Recruitment military force again placing an old provision to that effect intended, obviously, to initiate a call-up to an undetermined number of people.
