Paraguay: Standardized driver’s license being instituted to help fight fraud

The Intermunicipal Cooperation Paraguayan Organization (opacity) is working on his project to standardize driver’s licenses valid for the whole country. The different districts gradually implement this model and the goal is that next year the use of the document will be compulsory. Ricardo Núñez Gimenez, president of the opacity, said the idea is to end the “quasi-mafia organizations” issuing false licenses, besides attending to a request from the various mayors to combat crime and tampering of documents.
