Pará, Brazil: Police Seize 155 Blocks of Crack from Drug Traffickers

On June 5, 2013, Globo reported the Civil and Military Police detained five suspects accused of drug trafficking activity in Almeirim, Pará. Four of the suspects are considered members of a drug trafficking organization in the region. One of the suspects by the name of Maranhão, is considered one of the main dealers in the area. Police seized 155 blocks of crack; an estimated value of R$4, 661, as well as 14 illegal guns and meat conditioned with hygienic procedures. Read Article
