Panama: cases of nosocomial bacteria reported in Colón

Panama on Monday reported the first cases of infection in the city of Colón (Caribbean) with nosocomial bacteria “Clostridium difficile”, which last year caused at least nine deaths in the Social Security hospital in the town of David, bordering with Costa Rica. The Social Security Fund (CSS) reported three confirmed and two suspected cases of virulent bacteria in the Social Security Hospital in Columbus, 80 miles north of the capital. Read Article
