Panama: Ambulance driver, staff robbed while in route to hospital with an injured patient

AMBULANCE IN ROUTE TO San Miguel Arcangel Hospital of San Miguelito

PRENSA.COM REPORTED / According to information provided by the Sume 911 itself, the incident occurred at the intersection of Chilibre and motorway on June 13, 2016. On board were three ambulance Emergency Medical staff and a patient injured during a traffic accident, accompanied by a relative.

“Explosions when passing by kilometer 11, entrance to the Panama-Colon highway were heard. The technique was driving the ambulance stopped to check the situation and was then assaulted two men with a gun and a knife,” he explains a statement of the institution.

The thieves stole cell phones and other belongings to all who were in the ambulance.
