Otavalo Ecuador: $80,000 in counterfeit dollars seized

The soldiers came to the PJ Agualongo community in Otavalo and entered the house where others would be counterfeit. In-house authorities found seven $ 100 bills and four sheets of paper money impregnated with a stamp reading “Central Bank of Venezuela.” None of this could be justified. Police said the amount of counterfeit money that tried to enter the financial system amount to 80 200 dollars.
Ramiro Ortega, PJ provincial chief of Pichincha, said today it is investigating whether the arrested belong to a network devoted to market counterfeit dollars for circulation in the country. Read Article
