Ocean County, New Jersey: Police Dismantle International Network Trafficking Women from Mexico

On July 19, 2013 EL Nuevo Herald Noticias reported that New Jersey police have broken up an international network trafficking women from Mexico to the United States. The women were brought illegally to the US to work in prostitution, under false pretenses they would work as housemaids or nannies.

During the operation, police arrested José Romero Flores, who faces trafficking charges and operated several brothels in Ocean County. His girlfriend is also accused of involvement in the operation of the brothels. Four other males face charges of conspiracy to trafficking. Read Article
