Oaxaca, Mexico: Four Teenagers Rescued in Anti-Sex Trafficking Operation

On August 16, 2013 Quadratín Oaxaca Noticias reported the rescue of four female teenagers exploited in bars and brothels in several municipalities near Oaxaca. The police operation included raids on the “La Peña Dorada” and “El Milagro” bars. At the first raided bar, police arrested the owner Elvira López Lorenzo. They also rescued two female minors, both originally from Altamirano, Chiapas. Likewise, police arrested the bar manager at “El Milagro,” Joel Luis García, and rescued two female minors. At both bars, police found the victims imbibing alcoholic beverages while accompanying clients, allegedly under the orders of their respective bosses. Read Article
