Mexico: Two Deaths from Dengue in Veracruz

Veracruz’s Health Department has reported two deaths due to dengue in the state, according to Milenio. The deaths were both caused by the deadlier hemorrhagic form of the disease. The victims passed away in hospitals in the cities of Veracruz and Poza Rica, but resided in smaller towns in the southern part of the state. An official from the Health Department said that despite the deaths, there have only been 24 recorded cases of dengue in the state this year, compared to 269 in 2010. Read Article
