Mexico: thousands evacuated due to gas pipeline leaks caused by oil thieves

Authorities evacuated about 5,000 people in the western Mexican state of Jalisco by a leaking gasoline pipeline, apparently caused by oil thieves. Images of the leak in the town of Tlajomulco, near the state capital Guadalajara, showed what looked like a gas jet that rose into the air in a field near a housing development. The houses nearest to where the leak is located approximately 150 meters, although authorities did not report any injuries or intoxicated. Neither reported any fires. Read Article
