Mexico: Tabasco Cracks Down on Illegal Importation of Tobacco, Alcohol and Medications

El Heraldo de Tabasco reports:
• Authorities confiscated 21 million tons of illegally imported tobacco from Vietnam, largest seizure of illegal goods on record
• As a result, the Federal Commission for Protection Against Health Risks (Cofepris) announced new measures to combat illegal imporation and sale of tobacco, alcohol and medications
• Secondary market for medications and vaccines is the biggest problem; medications for sale are often not approved for use in Mexico
