Mexico: Newspaper claims 1,835 people executed per month

telesurtv.net reported every month 1,835 people are being executed, according to Semanario Zeta, a weekly newspaper from northern Mexico. During the first 21 months of Enrique Peña’s mandate, 30,789 people have been killed, according to new data recently released by the Mexican government this Wednesday. The most violent region in the country, according to the newest data, is the central State of Mexico, of which Peña was the governor before becoming president. In this state, which also leads extortion rates with 2,303 reported cases, 3,470 people have been killed, according to the report. Read Article
