Mexico: New Colombian Mafia operating in different sections of the country

zocalo.com.mx REPORTED…Saltillo, Coah.- Mexican authorities call “the new Colombian mafia” as they do not smuggle drugs. The recruit in cities like Medellin and Bogota and Mexico reach to clone cards, extorting, robbing houses and depositors.

The operation of this new “Colombian mafia” is well documented in the City of Mexico, since in the last two years at least 90 citizens of that country have basically been arrested for robbing houses, robbing and looting depositors ATMs in colonies like Polanco, Lomas de Chapultepec, San Angelo and Del Valle.

Court records show that they call themselves “The Brotherhood”; enroll through acquaintances or social networks. Recruiters are paid for flights and accommodation and where to attack the instructions received from Colombia.

This Colombian mafia established a hub in Monterrey, and then spread its tentacles to Saltillo, where in recent days have been detained three citizens of that nationality precisely assault residences, to depositors and looting ATMs. Read Article
