According to LaVoz.com.ar the government of Mendoza will not report on the number of flu cases in their province. The Secretary of Health in Mendoza, Enrique Quesada confirmed the government’s decision on July 1st. Quesada says people should be more concerned with prevention and sanitary care than numbers of people who have fallen ill. Quesada adds that health officials are carefully monitoring the situation. The latest number issued by the government was 54 cases that were confirmed positive and another 20 are under study. Quesada cautions that health officials have more information about the virus and more vaccines for prevention of the common flu. Therefore, Quesada says that the flu epidemic in 2009 will not happen in 2011. Officials say that June 30th a private school was closed due to possible flu cases in the student population.Read Article
