Members of the Knights Templar Arrested in Costa Rica

From lainformacion.com on June 29, 2013- Police in Costa Rica captured two suspected members of the Mexican drug cartel, the Knights Templar, and seven Costa Ricans who were working with the cartel. The murder of a Guatemalan and a Costa Rican model last November sparked the investigation into Mexican cartel activity in Costa Rica. The Judicial Investigation Organization ordered eight raids in various parts of the country which led to the arrest of the aforementioned suspects as well as 80 kilos of cocaine, firearms, and several vehicles.  According to authorities, the Knights Templar brings drugs from Colombia to Costa Rica and then onward to Mexico. The Knights Templar controls the drug trade on the Pacific Mexican coast and is known for its violence and criminal activities such as kidnapping, extortion, and theft. Read Article
