Members of Los Urabeños gang in Colombia captured in three localities

In the operation 15 suspected members of the criminal gang ‘Los Urabeños’ Dijin were captured by the police and the prosecution in the Urabá region of Antioquia. The capture came after six months of intelligence investigations in the municipalities of Turbo, Apartado and Necoclí, and in the villages of the Three, The Two, Alto de Mulatos, New Colony, New Antioch and Punta de Piedra in the region of Urabá. Police said those arrested were encargadazos drug trafficking crime for the structure and the illegal trade in firearms and ammunition, extortion, land grabbing, threats, displacement and disappearances.
