Measles Health Alert Dismissed in State of Mexico

The State of Mexico Health Institute (ISEM) has disqualified a possible health alert in the state due to the measles epidemic in Europe and the United States, El Sol de Mexico reports. The cases detected in Mexico do not currently present a potential threat to public health, the institute says. In addition, the state of Mexico has not recorded a case of measles in over ten years. Aggressive vaccination campaigns have prevented the likelihood of an outbreak, they say, and the disease is not fatal. Read Article
