Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil: Truck Driver Paid R$50,000 to Transport Drugs

On September 12, 2013, progresso.com.br reported that the Federal Police seized 514 kgs of cocaine in Mato Grosso do Sul. The police intercepted the truck carrying the drug destined for São Paulo. The driver admitted to receiving R$50,000 to transport the drug. Police report other seizures earlier that week: 2.7 kgs of cocaine seized on a bus coming from Bolivia to São Paulo, 106 kgs found on truck transported again to São Paulo and 377kgs seized in Ponta Pora.
