Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil: Police Operation Combats Environmental Crimes

acritica.net reported on July 26, 2013 that the Environmental Military Police in Mato Grosso do Sul, concluded on the 25th, operation “Foreign Ministry” which has worked to combat environmental crimes against flora. In total, R$14,600 was issued in fines to farmers and producers in rural settlements. As well, during the operation, police confiscated about 2,000 kg of marijuana in an abandoned vehicle.
