Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil: Police Discover 443 kilograms of Cocaine Hydrochloride

Globo reported on August 9, 2013 that the Federal Police and the Special Border Security force confiscated 443 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride in Vila Bela Holy Trinity, Mato Grosso do Sul. An aircraft directed to a farm designated for delivery delivered the drug. Police report the amount of drugs seized is valued at around R$20 million. This is the second seizure by police in the last 24 hours as police discovered 250 kilos of cocaine delivered by aircraft as well. Police believe the drugs came from Bolivia due to the area and routes used by drug traffickers to enter drugs into the country. Read Article
