Mapuche Indigenous denounce police violence

Mapuche community members complained that the Chilean police force acted with tear gas and used s during a raid in the south of the country in which the officers arrested a 18 year old accused of theft. Police said the device was deployed special police in the region of Araucania, Mapuche conflict zone called, and he stopped a young man who allegedly committed a robbery last July. Read Article
