Manaus, Brazil: Three Teenage Girls Detained for Selling Drugs

acritica.uol.com.br reported on May 16, 2013, that three female teenagers; ages 12, 16, and 17, were arrested by the Military Police for selling drugs in Manaus. The teens were charged for drug trafficking and conspiracy. One of the girls reported to receiving between R$200 and R$600 a day for selling drugs. The police confiscated 200 grams of cocaine and 50 bags of oxy. According to police, most young offenders are arrested for association with drug trafficking, robbery, and homicide.Read Article
