Los Rios, Ecuador: At Least 7 People Dead, Alcohol Intoxication

ElUniverso.com reports that seven people have died after purchasing bad alcohol in the Guayas province. Officials say that the two latest victims purchased alcohol in the parish of Ricaurte. Suspicion lies with the liquor purchased by all the victims, which officials’ say was altered. All seven victims have died within this past week, two people during Monday and Tuesday, two people during Wednesday and Thursday, and another three during Thursday and Friday. Also officials say that four people are in critical condition after drinking altered alcohol. Those affected by alcohol poisoning in Los Rios are being transferred to Babahoyo Hospital and Luis Vernaza Hospital in Guayaquil.Read Article
