EMILIOPALACIO.COM REPORTED On October 7, 2014, a deceased dog (Siberian Husky) was placed at the home of social media independent citizen journalist, Bolivar Loján. The dog apparently had been killed with a knife that was still positioned in the heart to the Siberian. Mr. Lojan (aka Cuy del Valle) is a well known critic of mayor José Bolívar Castillo who is a strong political ally of President Rafael Correa. Mr Loján was in Bolivia covering elections at the time of the incident. While he has not filed official charges he announced from his Twitter account that he suspected the mayor. He reported that there had been several other incidents of vandalism prior to the current incident.

Next to the deceased dog was a note that resembled a menu and stated the specialty of the house is “cuy” making several references to cuy including “cuy with slit tongue” (lengua de cuy cortada). Read Article
