Latin America, after years of economic growth, region still plagued by public safety issues

Public safety is the focus of governments in Latin America. Given a decade of growth and good economic accounts generally eyes are now on organized crime and instability that causes the phenomenon in parts of Latin America.

It is, at least, the main conclusion from the survey that measures the perception of insecurity by Gallup: Latin America is the region with the highest levels of perceived insecurity. And although the perception is not always accompanied by actual data, serves to indicate, insinuate, that the issue is in the regional center of attention. Read Article
