LAN Airlines cancels flights to sourthern Chile due to volcanic ash

The Chilean airline Lan resuspended several flights today in southern Chile due to volcanic ash Caulle Puyehue-Cordon, which erupted in June and had not caused changes in traffic home for two weeks. According to the company on its website, the affected operations are those that connect Santiago to Puerto Montt, and in some cases continue after his route well to Coyhaique, either to Punta Arenas at the southern tip of Chile.
