Jalisco Mexico largest operation point for clandestine pharmacies in the country

eluniversal.com.mx reported that according to Cofepris, Jalisco is a State where there is a high marketing of illegal drugs; in the last two years here has managed to seize 96% of the products seized in the entire country. At the end of 2013, the Agency reported on a historic seizure: secured 166 tons of medicine in poor state, with lack of records and no expiry dates; most were tablets for gastritis, headaches and fevers. The Ministry of health state, by the director of health regulation, requested the federal government authorization to create the Commission on protection of health risks in Jalisco, entity that would be similar to the one of the Cofepris powers and would be responsible for the health surveillance.
