Jacó Costa Rica: Russian tourist shot, killed in altercation

ETURBONEWS.COM reported Jacó Costa Rica – On December 10th, 2013, a Russian tourist with the last name of Grigorenco was shot and killed after having only been in Costa Rica for two days. The incident happened at about 9:30 am when Mr. Grigorenco apparently was having a mental health incident. He began to throw items out of the residence where he was staying. A neighbor who according to unconfirmed reports may be from the U.S. responded and attempted to calm the Russian tourist down. The neighbor reported that the Russian lunged at him with a knife. At that time the neighbor pulled a .38 caliber gun and shot Mr. Girgorenco three or four times. He died at the scene. The shooter was arrested and an autopsy will be performed. Read Article
