Izalco, El Salvador: U.S. citizen murdered by unknown group while driving

U.S. citizen Michael James, age 52, has been murdered by a an unknown group of gunmen. He was in a rental care with a female driving through a coffee plantation. The information did not indicated whether he was a tourist or expatriate.
laprensagrafica.com reported that the U.S. government issued a travel warning to El Salvador, on January 23, considering that the country is one of the most dangerous for its citizens, despite the reduction in homicides since the entry into force of the ceasefire gang. The U.S. citizen, Michael James, 55 years old, was gunned down last night in Izalco, Sonsonate, confirmed the National Civil Police (PNC). According to police investigations, James was traveling in his car, accompanied by his girlfriend, a Salvadoran, of which no details are known, when the incident occurred. Read Article
