Increasing Amounts of Spanish Traffickers Arrested in Peru

From lainformacion.com on May 30, 2013- According to the Spanish Consul General in Lima, Andrés Collado, the number of Spanish citizens arrested in Peru for drug trafficking has doubled over the past five years. Currently 304 Spanish are detained in Peruvian prisons on charges of drug trafficking. Collado believes that the rate could double again in four years recalling that around 150 Spanish citizens were detained five years ago. Collado said that the majority of the detainees come to Peru to purchase drugs and then attempt to return to Spain via the airport. Read Article
