In effort to combat stolen cellphones, Colombians must register prepaid cell phones by October 1, 2012

October 1, Colombians have term prepaid activated to record their operators, so that they can update and build the positive and negative lists of stolen equipment.

The decision is part of the strategies to combat the theft of cell phones in the country, announced the National Government. One of the measures that have been taken is the construction and sharing of databases, both positive and negative, in which are recorded the phone service and equipment stolen. Read Article
