Honduras, 70% of children with HIV are orphaned

A study by the United Nations Fund for Children (UNICEF) conducted in the first quarter of this year reveals the high numbers of orphans of HIV has resulted in 11 of the 18 departments. The findings indicate that the department of Gracias a Dios is one of the hardest hit by the orphanage because of the virus. And in this region 100 of the children with this condition are orphans, followed by the department of Colón, where 64 percent of children with HIV live in broken homes. Read Article
